General Election - 4 July 2024 - what can we expect?
I posted on this when the news broke. The Prime Minister has announced a General Election date of 4 July 2024. We now expecting a pre-election 'Purdah' period where civil servants are not allowed to speak at industry events and active projects grind to a halt. I suspect that Consumer Duty will not be paused given the number of FCA communications in recent months, with a number of short notice information requests.
