Ofgem explores options amid rising consumer debt
A consultation on options to protect the energy market and consumers from the risk of rising debt has been launched by Ofgem. They want our views on whether and how they should adjust the energy price cap for debt-related costs. As discussed on Wednesday, this includes tracking the impact of exceptional developments such as the gas price crisis, and government interventions like the Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) and Energy bills support scheme (EBSS).
